Valhalla of Norway proudly presents Byleist, a timepiece inspired by Norse mythology and world-class watchmaking traditions. The name Byleist originates from a mysterious and rarely mentioned figure in the ancient Norse pantheon—the brother of none other than Loki. True to its name, this watch carries an aura of strength, mystique, and depth—a tribute to the Nordic roots and myths that have shaped our culture.

The watches are assembled at Ramstad, just a stone’s throw from Klokk in Ramstaddal, in the heart of beautiful Sunnmøre. Here, we collaborate with the experienced watchmaker Knut Karlsen—a true master with over 30 years of expertise. From his workshop at Ramstad, the view stretches across Klokk and further out over the majestic Storfjord. One would be hard-pressed to find a more fitting place to create a timeless watch.

At the heart of Byleist beats the Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement, renowned for its reliability, accuracy, and durability. It is a movement that perfectly matches the aesthetic and technical ambitions we have set. The combination of Swiss engineering and Norwegian craftsmanship results in a watch that is both highly functional and rich in soul.
