The Story Behind Valhalla of Norway

Valhalla of Norway – born of time, craftsmanship, and heritage

Valhalla of Norway is a Norwegian watch brand inspired by Scandinavian history, craftsmanship, and identity. The brand was founded in 2013 by Roy Klokk, following more than 16 years in the international watch industry and a strong desire to create something of his own – a brand that combines quality, precision, and Norwegian culture through timeless design. The idea behind Valhalla of Norway took shape in a unique setting, when Roy was running Hotel Valhalla in Fredrikstad. Through conversations with guests from around the world, it became clear how strongly the name Valhalla and Viking culture were associated with Norway. The symbolism, stories, and heritage of the Viking era resonated across cultures and confirmed the potential of a brand rooted in Nordic identity.

With the company offices located on Valhallsgate, both the name and direction naturally fell into place. Valhalla of Norway was created as a tribute to Nordic strength, precision, and respect for time – values that defined the Vikings and continue to live on in modern watchmaking. Today, Valhalla of Norway is an international brand, with watches sold in more than 48 countries. Each timepiece is inspired by this heritage: robust, detailed, and built to last. The brand unites classic design with modern movements and functionality, and is made for those who value both quality and character. Valhalla of Norway is more than a watch – it is a story of origin, experience, and pride, created in Norway, inspired by history, and made for those who respect time.
